As Director of Winemaking at Vine Cliff 1871, Maayan Koschitzky brings precision and intuition to revealing what lies within this legendary estate. His role is not to impose but to listen: to understand the voice of 14 distinct vineyard blocks and translate their stories into wines of purity, elegance, and distinct character.
Born in Israel on a family farm, Maayan studied engineering before recognizing his calling among the vines. After years at Israel's prestigious Margalit Winery, he arrived in Napa Valley in 2011, working alongside legendary winemakers at Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle before joining Atelier Melka in 2014, where he became Director of Winemaking and partner.
Recognized by Wine Enthusiast's 40 Under 40 in 2019, Maayan's approach centers on a singular principle: greatness cannot be manufactured. It must be unearthed, honored, and revealed.
